WDC தாய்த் திரவத்தை செயல்திறன் மிக்கதாக மாற்றும் முறை
- ஓர் சுத்தமான கொள்கலனில் 1 லீட்டர் WDC தாய்த் திரவத்துடன், சர்க்கரை அல்லது கருப்பட்டி (இவை இல்லாதபட்சத்தில் சிவப்பு சீனி) 2 கிலோவை மாவாக்கி, 17 லீட்டர் குளோரின் கலக்காத கிணற்றுநீரில் நன்கு கலந்து விட வேண்டும்.
- பூச்சிகள் அல்லது இலையான்கள் புகாமல் சுத்தமான துணி அல்லது மூடியால் மூடி வைக்கவும்.
- தினமும் ஒரு முறை சுத்தமான தடியால் மெதுவாக ஒரே திசையில் கலக்கவும்.
- ஏழு நாட்களில் செயல்திறன் மிக்க இரண்டாம் நிலைத் திரவம் (Activated WDC) தயாராகிவிடும்.
- இதனை மூன்று வாரங்களுக்கு வரை வைத்துப் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
WDC பயன்படுத்தும் விதம்
- ஒரு லீட்டர் இரண்டாம் நிலைக் கலவைக்கு 5 மடங்கு நீர் சேர்த்து குப்பைகளுடன் கலந்து உக்கவைக்கலாம்.
- ஒரு லீட்டர் கலவைக்கு 10 மடங்கு நீர் சேர்த்து தாவரங்களுக்கு இலைவழி அல்லது தரைவழி கொடுக்கலாம்.
இரண்டாம் நிலைக் கரைசலிலிருந்து மீண்டும் 1 லீட்டர் எடுத்து, அதில் சர்க்கரை அல்லது கருப்பட்டி 2 கிலோவை மாவாக்கி 17 லீட்டர் நீரில் கலந்து மூடி வைக்க வேண்டும். 3 நாட்களுக்கு ஒருமுறை கலக்கினால், 10–14 நாட்களில் புதிய செயல்திறன் மிக்க திரவம் தயார் ஆகும்.
இதை மீண்டும் மீண்டும், 6 மாதங்கள் முதல் ஒரு வருடம் வரை தயிர் உறை போடுவது போலத் தொடர்ந்து தயாரித்து பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
பயிர்ச்செய்கையில் பிரயோக வழிமுறைகள்
WDC-ஐ தரைவழி கொடுக்கும்போது ஒவ்வொரு பயிர்ப்போகத்திலும் பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட அளவு சேதன உரங்களையும் நுண்ணூட்டச்சத்துகளையும் சேர்த்துக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.
சில சமூக வலைத்தளங்களில் “இதனை மட்டும் பயன்படுத்தினாலே போதுமானது; வேறு பசளைகள் தேவையில்லை” என்ற கருத்துக்கள் பரவி வருகின்றன. ஆனால் இயற்கை விவசாயிகள் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டியது என்னவெனில், WDC என்பது ஒரு இயற்கை வளர்ச்சி ஊக்கி மட்டுமே. இதனுடன் சேதன இடுபொருட்கள் மற்றும் நுண்ணூட்டங்களையும் சேர்த்துக் கொடுக்கும்போதுதான் தொடர்ச்சியான உச்சபட்ச பலனைப் பெற முடியும்.
WDCயின் அசாதாரண திறன்கள்
தொடர்ச்சியாகப் பயன்படுத்தும்போது, வேப்பமரம் போன்ற உறைந்த, பட்டுப் போன மரங்களையும் சில மாதங்களில் உக்கவைத்து தூளாக்கும் திறன் WDC-க்கு உண்டு. எனவே, இதனை மரத்தளபாடங்கள், மரத்தால் ஆன கொட்டகைகள், கோழிக்கூடுகள், மரத்தால் அமைந்த உபகரணங்கள், கடதாசி, தோல் மற்றும் இயற்கை நார்களால் செய்யப்பட்ட பொருட்களின் மீது விசிறாமல் பயன்படுத்துவது அவசியம்.

One of the main reasons why many full-time farmers hesitate to shift to organic farming is that the organic inputs used in certain cropping cycles decompose slowly. As a result, the nutrients are released late and absorbed by the plants only after a delay, leading to reduced yields.
To solve this, Waste Tea Composer (WDC) is a powerful microbial consortium that rapidly decomposes organic waste materials, converting them into a nutrient-rich form that plants can easily absorb.
Usually, the process of composting organic materials takes around 90 days. But with the help of these microbes, it can be effectively completed within 45 to 60 days, depending on climatic conditions.
When used together with proper compost application, WDC acts as a natural growth enhancer, improving plant health, accelerating growth, and increasing yield.
How to Activate the WDC Mother Solution
- In a clean container, mix 1 liter of WDC mother solution with 2 kg of jaggery or molasses (if unavailable, red sugar can be used) and 17 liters of chlorine-free well water.
- Cover it with a clean cloth or lid to prevent insects or dust from entering.
- Stir gently in one direction every day using a clean wooden stick.
- After seven days, the activated WDC (secondary solution) will be ready for use.
- It can be stored and used for up to three weeks.
How to Use WDC
- For composting: Mix 1 liter of activated WDC with 5 liters of water, then apply it to organic waste for faster decomposition.
- For crops: Mix 1 liter of activated WDC with 10 liters of water and apply either to the soil or as a foliar spray.
From this secondary solution, you can extract 1 liter, mix it again with 2 kg of jaggery and 17 liters of water, cover and stir every three days. Within 10–14 days, a new batch of activated WDC will be ready.
This process can be repeated continuously for 6 months to 1 year, just like curd fermentation.
Application in Crop Cultivation
When applying WDC to the soil, it should always be used along with the recommended amount of organic manure and micronutrients.
Some social media posts claim that “using only WDC is enough and no other compost is needed.” However, organic farmers must understand that WDC is only a natural growth enhancer. Sustainable and maximum yield can be achieved only when used with compost and micronutrients.
Unique Capabilities of WDC
When used consistently, WDC has the power to decompose even tough materials like neem wood and other hardened organic matter within a few months.
Hence, it should not be sprayed directly on wooden structures, furniture, poultry coops, paper, leather, or natural fiber products, as it may damage them over time.
When applied correctly in farming, yield increases by 1/5 to 1/3, as observed in paddy, garden, and home-crop cultivation experiments.
Success Stories of WDC in Sri Lanka
In Sri Lanka’s Northern Province, many farmers have been successfully using WDC for over eight years, achieving remarkable results in crop growth.
In the Eastern Province, especially in Ampara and Trincomalee, several organic farmers have adopted WDC in paddy and vegetable cultivation and have reported excellent harvests.
During the COVID-19 fertilizer shortage, some farmers in Puttalam used WDC along with other organic inputs in beetroot and vegetable cultivation, gaining significant profits.
Training and Demonstrations
In a three-day organic farming workshop organized under the “New Light” program held in Batticaloa, Tamil Nadu-based organic farming expert Mr. Pamyen demonstrated the preparation of WDC practically. He also distributed samples of the activated WDC solution to all participating farmers.
