மேலும், எதிர்காலத்தில் சுமார் 250 வகையான மருந்துகளின் விலையை ஒழுங்குபடுத்துவதற்கு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என்றும் அந்த அதிகார சபை தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
சிறுவர் நோய்கள், இருதய நோய்கள், புற்றுநோய், உயர் இரத்த அழுத்தம் உள்ளிட்ட பல நோய்களுக்காக வழங்கப்படும் மருந்துகளின் விலையே இவ்வாறு குறைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
இதில், சில மருந்துகளின் விலை 50 சதவீதத்தால் குறைந்துள்ளதாகவும் தேசிய ஒளடதங்கள் ஒழுங்குபடுத்தல் அதிகார சபை சுட்டிக்காட்டியுள்ளது.
இதன்படி, மருந்துகளுக்கு விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள அதிகபட்ச விலையை மீறி அவற்றை விற்பனை செய்வோருக்கு எதிராக சட்ட நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என்றும், அந்த அதிகார சபையின் தலைவர் விசேட வைத்தியர் ஆனந்த விஜேவிக்ரம தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

Reduction in Medicine Prices
The National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) has announced that the prices of nearly 350 types of medicines have been reduced.
Furthermore, the authority stated that measures will be taken in the future to regulate the prices of around 250 additional types of medicines.
The price reduction applies to medicines used for treating various illnesses, including childhood diseases, heart diseases, cancer, and high blood pressure.
The NMRA also pointed out that the prices of some medicines have been reduced by up to 50 percent.
Accordingly, legal action will be taken against those who sell medicines above the maximum price set by the authority, said Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama, the Chairman of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority.
