Gold and silver prices have declined today (09) due to economic changes in the international market and the ongoing war situation in the Middle East.

Accordingly, the price of one ounce of gold is currently being traded at 5,095 dollars in the international market.

Meanwhile, the price of silver today stands at 83.15 dollars per ounce.

Over the past few days, gold prices in the local market had shown fluctuations. However, due to the drop in international prices, it is expected that gold prices in Sri Lanka may also decline today.

Foreign news reports further state that the strengthening of the US dollar and international political developments have been key factors influencing this price change.
