இடியுடன் கூடிய மழை பெய்யும் வேளைகளில் தற்காலிகமாக பலத்த காற்று வீசக்கூடும் என்பதோடு, மின்னல் தாக்கங்களினால் ஏற்படக்கூடிய பாதிப்புகளை குறைத்துக்கொள்ள தேவையான முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்ளுமாறு பொதுமக்கள் அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

Dry Weather Conditions Prevail in the Country Today

The Department of Meteorology has forecast that showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Sabaragamuwa Province and in the districts of Galle, Matara, Kalutara, and Nuwara Eliya during the evening or night.

Meanwhile, mainly dry weather conditions will prevail in the other parts of the country.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North Central, and Uva Provinces, as well as in the districts of Kurunegala, Vavuniya, Galle, and Matara during the morning.

During thundershowers, fairly strong winds may occur temporarily, and the public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
