உலகமே ஒரு மாபெரும் இலத்திரனியல் புரட்சியில் மூழ்கி இருக்கும் இந்த வேளையில், இலங்கை எனும் சிறிய தீவும் அதிலிருந்து விலகி நிற்கவில்லை(Digital Sri Lanka). காலத்தின் கட்டாயம் இது. கணினியும், கையடக்கத் தொலைபேசியும் எம் வாழ்வின் அங்கமாகிவிட்டன. எண்ணெய் எவ்வாறு இருபதாம் நூற்றாண்டின் எரிபொருளாக இருந்ததோ, அதேபோல் தரவுகள் (data) இருபத்தியோராம் நூற்றாண்டின் சக்தி வாய்ந்த எரிபொருளாக மாறியுள்ளன. இணையத்தின் அசுர வளர்ச்சி, எம் தேசத்தின் பட்டிதொட்டி எங்கும் பாய்ச்சல் காணத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது. இது ஒரு தவிர்க்க முடியாத மாற்றத்தின் வேகம்.

இவற்றை வென்றெடுப்பது எம் ஒவ்வொருவரதும் கடமை. அரசு, வலுவான இணையக் கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை நாடு முழுவதிலும் நிறுவுவதில் துரித கவனம் செலுத்த வேண்டும். அதுவும், குறைந்த செலவில், அனைவருக்கும் இணையம் கிடைக்கச் செய்ய வேண்டும். கல்வித் துறையில், ஆரம்பப் பாடசாலைகள் முதல் பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் வரை, இலத்திரனியல் அறிவுப் போதனையை கட்டாயமாக்க வேண்டும். தொழில்சார் பயிற்சிகளை நவீன இலத்திரனியல் திறன்களுக்கு ஏற்றவாறு மாற்றியமைக்க வேண்டும். “அறிவுப் பெருக்கம், மக்களை வலுவூட்டும்” என்பதை நாம் அனைவரும் உணர வேண்டும். சமூக அமைப்புகள், தன்னார்வ தொண்டு நிறுவனங்கள், தனியார் துறை என அனைவரும் ஒன்றிணைந்து, இலத்திரனியல் கல்வியை மக்கள் மத்தியில் கொண்டு சேர்க்க வேண்டும். பாதுகாப்பான இணையப் பயன்பாடு குறித்து மக்களுக்கு விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்துவது மிக அவசியம்.
அன்பின் உறவுகளே! இந்த இலத்திரனியல் யுகம், எம் தேசத்திற்குப் புதிய கதவுகளைத் திறந்துவிட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால், இந்தக் கதவுகள் அனைவருக்குமானதாக இருக்க வேண்டும். அனைவருக்கும் சமமான வாய்ப்புக்கள் கிடைப்பதை உறுதி செய்வது எம் நீதிக் கடமை. இலத்திரனியல் பொருளாதாரம் வெறும் தொழில்நுட்பத்தைப் பற்றியதல்ல, அது எம் மக்களின் வாழ்வை மேம்படுத்துவது பற்றியது. எமது அடுத்த தலைமுறையின் எதிர்காலத்தை நாம் செதுக்க வேண்டும். நாம் அனைவரும் கைகோர்த்துச் செயற்பட்டால், டிஜிட்டல் இலங்கையின் விடியல், அனைவருக்கும் ஒளிமயமானதாக அமையும். அநீதியை அகற்றி, நீதியை நிலைநாட்டும் பயணத்தில் நாம் ஒன்றுபடுவோம்!

Concerns about cybercrime and data security also weigh heavily on the minds of users. These challenges pose barriers to progress that must be addressed.
Overcoming these obstacles is a collective responsibility. The government must prioritize the development of robust and affordable internet infrastructure that reaches every part of the country. Digital education must be made compulsory in schools and universities, while vocational training programs should be updated to meet the demands of the digital economy. We must all recognize that knowledge is power, and work together to spread digital literacy. Civil society, volunteer groups, and the private sector must join forces to bring digital education to the masses and raise awareness about safe internet practices.
