அதன் அடிப்படையில் அம்பாறை மாவட்டதில் மற்றுமொரு கணினி கற்றல் கூடத்தினை (VCOT Computer Learning Unit) உலகளாவிய இராமகிருஷ்ண மடம் மற்றும் மிஷன்களின் துணைத்தலைவர் அதிவணக்கத்திற்குரிய ஶ்ரீமத் சுவாமி சுஹிதானந்தஜி மஹராஜ் அவர்களின் காரைதீவு விஜயத்துடன் 8 இற்கும் மேற்பட்ட இராமகிருஷ்ண மிஷன் துறவிகளின் ஆசீர்வாதத்துடன் அம்பாறை மாவட்டத்தில் காரைதீவு இராமகிருஸ்ண மிஷன் மனித மேம்பாட்டு பயிற்சிநிலையத்துடன் இணைந்த கணினி கற்றல் கூடம் (VCOT Computer Learning Unit) திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்த பிரதேசத்தை சேர்ந்த இளைஞர், யுவதிகளை அடையாளப்படுத்தி அவர்களை ஊக்கப்படுத்தி வாழ்வியல் வழிகாட்டல் (Certificate for Life skill Development Programme) என்ற 3 மாதகால பயிற்சியுடன் தொழில்ப்பாதைக்கான வழிகாட்டுதலுடன் அடிப்படை கணினி அறிவினையும் இந்த சமுதாய கல்லூரி முறைமை மூலம் வழங்கவிருக்கின்றமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கதாகும்.
VCOT Community College Expands Its Reach to Ampara
The Vivekananda College of Technology (VCOT) is dedicated to transforming education accessibility by offering specialized training programs for students who have either not completed their G.C.E. Advanced Level or have missed university admission opportunities. Through its Community College model, VCOT is actively implementing mobile training centers in rural villages, ensuring that quality education reaches those in need.
This initiative is being financially supported by the Manitha Neyam Trust, which has played a crucial role in establishing computer learning centers across various regions. Under this initiative, several learning centers have already been launched, including:
- Mullaitivu Puthukudiyiruppu – A fully operational VCOT Community College
- Trincomalee Verugal Mukhathuvaram School – A dedicated VCOT Computer Learning Unit
- Batticaloa Karadiyanaru School – A Manitha Neyam Community College, established in collaboration with the Batticaloa West Education Zone
New Expansion: Ampara District
Building upon this momentum, a new VCOT Computer Learning Unit has now been inaugurated in the Ampara district, specifically at the Karaitivu Ramakrishna Mission Human Development Training Center. The launch was graced by Srimath Swami Suhitananda Maharaj, the Vice President of the Global Ramakrishna Mission and Math, along with eight senior monks from the Ramakrishna Mission. Their presence marked a significant milestone in expanding digital education to underprivileged communities.
This newly established learning center has been fully equipped with:
- Computers
- Smart TV
- Essential teaching aids
All these resources have been funded by the Manitha Neyam Trust, which has also committed to providing ongoing financial support for administrative costs to ensure the seamless operation of basic computer literacy and life skills development programs.

One of the biggest challenges in the modern era, where Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation dominate industries, is that many rural communities still lack access to basic computing knowledge. To achieve this goal, VCOT offers the “Certificate for Life Skill Development Programme”, a three-month foundational course designed to:
