தென் கொரியாவிற்கு இதுவரை 2927 இலங்கையர்கள் பயணம்
இந்த ஆண்டின் இதுவரையான காலப்பகுதியில் தென் கொரியாவிற்கு வேலைவாய்ப்புக்காக 2,927 இலங்கையர்கள் சென்றுள்ளதாக இலங்கை வெளிநாட்டு வேலைவாய்ப்பு பணியகம் (SLBFE) அறிவித்துள்ளது.
இவர்களில் 100 இளம் பெண்களும் அடங்குவதாக குறித்த திணைக்களம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
இதில் 2,197 பேர் உற்பத்தித் துறையிலும் (Manufacturing), 680 பேர் கடற்றொழில் துறையிலும் (Fisheries), 23 பேர் கட்டுமானத் துறையிலும் (Construction), இருவர் விவசாயத் துறையிலும் (Agriculture) வேலைவாய்ப்புகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளனர்.
இதற்கிடையில், தென் கொரியாவில் ஏற்கனவே வேலைவாய்ப்பைப் பெற்றுள்ள மேலும் 200இற்கு மேற்பட்ட இலங்கையர்களை இந்த மாத இறுதிக்குள் அனுப்புவதற்கான ஏற்பாடுகள் நடைபெற்று வருவதாக இலங்கை வெளிநாட்டு வேலைவாய்ப்பு பணியகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
அத்துடன் 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான கொரிய மொழி பரீட்சைக்கு (Korean Language Proficiency Test) 36,475 விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் பதிவு செய்துள்ளதாகவும், குறித்த பரீட்சை ஒக்டோபர் 23 ஆம் திகதி ஆரம்பமாகவுள்ளதாகவும் இலங்கை வெளிநாட்டு வேலைவாய்ப்பு பணியகம் அறிவித்துள்ளது.

2,927 Sri Lankans Have Travelled to South Korea So Far This Year
A total of 2,927 Sri Lankans have travelled to South Korea for employment during the current year, according to the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).
Among them are 100 young women, the Bureau reported.
Of this number, 2,197 individuals have secured jobs in the manufacturing sector, 680 in the fisheries sector, 23 in construction, and 2 in agriculture.
Meanwhile, arrangements are underway to send over 200 more Sri Lankans—who have already received employment opportunities in South Korea—by the end of this month, the SLBFE added.
Furthermore, 36,475 applicants have registered for the 2025 Korean Language Proficiency Test (TOPIK), which is scheduled to commence on October 23, according to the Bureau.
