வடக்கு, வட மத்திய, கிழக்கு, மத்திய, ஊவா மாகாணங்களில் இடைக்கிடையே மழை அல்லது இடியுடன் கூடிய மழை பெய்யக்கூடும் என அந்த திணைக்களம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
மேலும், வடக்கு மாகாணத்தில் சில இடங்களில் 50 மில்லிமீட்டருக்கும் அதிகமான பலத்த மழைவீழ்ச்சி எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகின்றது.
வடமத்திய மாகாணத்தில் பல தடவைகள் மழை பெய்யக்கூடும் என அந்த திணைக்களம் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது.

Heavy Rainfall Above 50 mm
The Meteorological Department has forecast that some parts of the country may experience heavy rainfall exceeding 50 millimetres today.
It has stated that intermittent showers or thundershowers can be expected in the Northern, North Central, Eastern, Central, and Uva Provinces.
Furthermore, certain areas in the Northern Province may receive more than 50 millimetres of heavy rainfall.
The department also noted that several showers may occur in the North Central Province.
After 1 p.m., showers or thundershowers may occur at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.
In this situation, the Meteorological Department has advised the public to take necessary safety precautions to minimize potential hazards that may arise during thundershowers.
