2030ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குள் காலநிலை மாற்றம், பேரிடர் தாக்கங்களினால் உலகளவில் 37.6 மில்லியன் மக்கள் தீவிர வறுமையில் தள்ளப்படுவார்கள் என ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் அனர்த்த முகாமைத்துவ அலுவலகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

மேலும் 2030ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குள் உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள நாடுகள் வருடத்துக்கு 560 பேரிடர்களை சந்திக்கும் எனவும் சுட்டிக்காட்டியுள்ளது.

ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் பொதுச் சபை ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் ஒக்டோபர் 13ஆம் திகதி சர்வதேச பேரிடர் அபாயக் குறைப்பு தினத்தை கடைபிடிக்கிறது.

560 Disasters Expected Annually by 2030

By the year 2030, around 37.6 million people worldwide are expected to be pushed into extreme poverty due to climate change and disaster impacts, according to the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR).

The agency also pointed out that by 2030, countries across the globe may face around 560 disasters each year.

The United Nations General Assembly observes October 13 every year as the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction.

The theme of this year’s observance emphasizes that “Only through solidarity can we make the world a safer place.”
