கொழும்பு கோட்டை – சிலாபம் ரயில் சேவைகள் மீண்டும் ஆரம்பம்

Colombo Fort – Chilaw Train Services Resume நாட்டில் ஏற்பட்ட அனர்த்தம் காரணமாக பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த ரயில் பாதைகளின் திருத்தப் பணிகள் நிறைவடைந்ததன் பின்னர் புத்தளம் ரயில் பாதையில் கொழும்பு கோட்டை மற்றும் சிலாபம் இடையிலான ரயில் சேவைகள் இன்று (29) முதல் மீண்டும் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக ரயில்வே திணைக்களம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

புத்தளம் ரயில் பாதையில் குடாவெவ மற்றும் மாதம்பே ரயில் நிலையங்களுக்கு இடையே அமைந்துள்ள கடுபிட்டி ஓயா பாலத்திற்கு அருகில் ரயில் பாதை நீரில் அடித்துச் செல்லப்பட்டது. இதன் காரணமாக கொழும்பு கோட்டை மற்றும் சிலாபம் / புத்தளம் இடையிலான ரயில் சேவைகள் ஸ்தம்பித்திருந்தது.

இதன் விளைவாக, சிலாபம் ரயில் நிலையத்தில் நிறுத்தி வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த 5 ரயில் பெட்டிகளை போக்குவரத்துக்காகப் பயன்படுத்த முடியாமல் போனதுடன், அந்த பாதையில் ரயில் சேவைகள் நாத்தாண்டியா ரயில் நிலையம் வரை மாத்திரமே மட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

Colombo Fort – Chilaw Train Services Resume

The Department of Railways has announced that train services between Colombo Fort and Chilaw on the Puttalam railway line have resumed from today (29), following the completion of repair work on railway tracks damaged due to a disaster in the country.

Railway tracks near the Kadupiti Oya bridge, located between the Kudawawa and Madampe railway stations on the Puttalam line, had been washed away by floodwaters. As a result, train services between Colombo Fort and Chilaw / Puttalam had been suspended.

Consequently, five train carriages that were stationed at the Chilaw railway station could not be used for transportation, and train services on this line had been restricted only up to the Nattandiya railway station.
