Earth Tremor in Haldummulla

The Disaster Management Center in Badulla has reported that a minor tremor was felt on Tuesday evening at 6:46 p.m. and 6:47 p.m. in Haldummulla, Welanwita, Akkarasiyaya, Lemastota, Muruthahinna, and surrounding areas.

No damage was caused by the tremor, the center confirmed.

It has been identified as a very minor earthquake, and it was not recorded by the seismic sensors located in Pallekele, Hakkmana, Maha Kanadarawa, and Ampara, according to E.M.L. Udaya Kumara, Deputy Director of the Badulla Disaster Management Center.

Meanwhile, Mrs. K.A.G. Priyangika, Divisional Secretary of Haldummulla, has urged the public to remain vigilant in response to this sudden tremor.
