Important Announcement from the Examinations Department for School Students
The Examinations Department has announced that no decision has been made yet regarding the postponement of any examinations, including the Grade 5 Scholarship Exam, G.C.E. Ordinary Level, and Advanced Level Examinations scheduled for 2026.
This announcement was issued by Director of Examinations, Nayagam Indika Kumari Liyanage.
Due to the current situation, there is a perception among students that the exams may be postponed. However, since the Examinations Department has not made any such decision, the Director has emphasized that students must be prepared to face the exams on the previously announced dates.
Accordingly, applications for the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination will be accepted online until April 24, 2026, as announced by the Examinations Department.
Application Instructions
All applicants are required to visit the official websites www.doenets.lk and www.onlineexams.gov.lk/eic, and submit their applications following the instructions provided there.
Government and government-approved private school students must submit their applications through their school principal.
Additionally, private candidates must submit their applications individually using their National Identity Card number.
