Increase in Egg and Chicken Prices
Consumers claim that the prices of eggs and chicken meat have increased in the country.
A kilogram of chicken meat is being sold in the market at a high price of Rs. 1,300.
In regular markets, a single egg is being sold for more than Rs. 35.
Accordingly, in supermarkets, an egg is being sold at prices ranging from Rs. 55 to Rs. 60.
Meanwhile, traders state that since suppliers have increased their prices, they are also compelled to raise their selling prices.
Traders further noted that there is currently a certain shortage in the supply of chicken meat and eggs to the market.
