The price of this beverage is 45 yuan (approximately Rs. 2,000 in Sri Lankan currency).
International media reports state that the museum introduced this type of coffee in late June.
The museum emphasizes that customers can feel safe because all the ingredients used in this coffee are purchased from a traditional Chinese herbal medicine shop.
According to Chinese tradition, cockroach powder is believed to help improve blood circulation.
In addition, an employee of the museum told international media that doctors believe protein-rich yellow larvae help boost human immunity.
The employee also mentioned that young people are the main consumers of this cockroach coffee.
Chinese reports state that the café sells more than 10 cups of cockroach beverage per day.
