ஆட்பதிவுத் திணைக்களத்தின் கணினி கட்டமைப்பில் ஏற்பட்ட தொழில்நுட்ப பிரச்சினை காரணமாக அண்மையில் தேசிய அடையாள அட்டைகளை விநியோகிக்கும் பணிகள் இடைநிறுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தன

அதன்படி, கடந்த 23, 24 மற்றும் 26 ஆம் திகதிகளில் ஒரு நாள் சேவை ஊடாக தேசிய அடையாள அட்டைகளைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள வருகை தந்து அதனைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது போனவர்களுக்கு இன்று தேசிய அடையாள அட்டைகள் வழங்கப்படவுள்ளன.

National Identity Card Issuance Resumes

The Department for Registration of Persons has announced that the issuance of National Identity Cards, which had been temporarily suspended, will resume from today.

The distribution of National Identity Cards was recently halted due to a technical issue in the department’s computer system.

Accordingly, individuals who visited to obtain their NICs through the one-day service on the 23rd, 24th, and 26th but were unable to receive them will be issued their cards today.

In line with this, these services will recommence from today at the head office in Battaramulla as well as at provincial offices.

Meanwhile, it has also been announced that the regular issuance services of National Identity Cards will return to normal from April 6.
