மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்டத்திற்கான புதிய அரசாங்க அதிபராக ஜே.எஸ்.அருள்ராஜ், அமைச்சரவை அனுமதியுடன் நியமிக்கப்பட்டு, இன்று வெள்ளிக்கிழமை தனது உத்தியோகபூர்வ கடமைகளை புதிய மாவட்ட செயலக அலுவலகத்தில் ஆரம்பித்தார் .
மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்ட அரசாங்க அதிபராக கடமையாற்றிய திருமதி ஜே. ஜே. முரளிதரன் நேற்று வியாழக்கிழமை முதல் பொதுச் சேவையிலிருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்றதை அடுத்து, கிழக்கு மாகாண ஆளுநரின் செயலாளராக தற்போது கடமையாற்றிய இலங்கை நிர்வாக சேவையின் விசேட தர அதிகாரியான ஜே.எஸ். அருள்ராஜ் மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்ட அரசாங்க அதிபராக நியமிக்க பொது நிருவாகம், மாகாண சபைகள் மற்றும் உள்ளூராட்சி அமைச்சர் சமர்ப்பித்த முன்மொழிவுக்கு அமைச்சரவை கடந்த 15 ஆம் திகதி அனுமதி வழங்கியது.
இந் நியமனத்தினால் குறைந்த வயதில் அரசாங்க அதிபரானவர் என்ற பெருமையை ஜே.எஸ் அருள்ராஜ் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்.
யாழ்ப்பாண பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் கலைப்பட்டதாரியான இவர், 2003 ம் ஆண்டு இலங்கை நிருவாக சேவைக்கு தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தார்
கிண்ணியா, சேருவில பிரதேச செயலகங்களில் உதவி பிரதேச செயலாளராக இருந்ததுடன், வடகிழக்கு மாகாண சபை மற்றும் கிழக்கு மாகாண சபை ஆகியவற்றிலும் கடமையாற்றியுள்ளார்.
வவுனியா மற்றும் மன்னார் மாவட்டங்களில் கமநல அபிவிருத்தி திணைக்களத்தின் உதவி ஆணையாளர், கிழக்கு மாகாண தொழில் திணைக்கள பிரதி ஆணையாளர் ஆகிய பதவிகளையும் வகித்துள்ளார்.
இவர் திருகோணமலை பட்டினமும் சூழலும் பிரதேச செயலாளராக கடமையாற்றிய நிலையில், திருகோணமலை மாவட்ட உதவி அரசாங்க அதிபராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டு விசேட சேவையை ஆற்றியிருந்தார்.
நேற்று வரை கிழக்கு மாகாண ஆளுநரின் செயலாளராக கடமைபுரிந்து வந்த நிலையில், மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்ட அரசாங்க அதிபராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

Youngest Government Agent to Take Over the Administration of Batticaloa District
J.S. Arulraj has been appointed as the new Government Agent for Batticaloa District with the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers. He officially assumed duties today, Friday, at the new District Secretariat office.
Following the retirement from public service yesterday, Thursday, of Mrs. J.J. Muralitharan, who had been serving as the Government Agent of Batticaloa District, J.S. Arulraj—an officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (Special Grade) who was serving as Secretary to the Governor of the Eastern Province—was recommended for appointment as the new Government Agent of Batticaloa by the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government. This proposal received Cabinet approval on the 15th of this month.
With this appointment, J.S. Arulraj has earned the distinction of being one of the youngest to hold the position of Government Agent.
A graduate of the University of Jaffna, he was recruited into the Sri Lanka Administrative Service in 2003.
He has served as an Assistant Divisional Secretary in the Kinniya and Seruwila Divisional Secretariats, and also worked at both the North-East Provincial Council and the Eastern Provincial Council.
He has additionally held positions as Assistant Commissioner of the Department of Cooperative Development in Vavuniya and Mannar Districts, as well as Deputy Commissioner of the Eastern Province Department of Industries.
While serving as Divisional Secretary of Trincomalee Town & Gravets, he was later appointed as Assistant Government Agent for Trincomalee District, where he rendered notable service.
Until yesterday, he was serving as Secretary to the Governor of the Eastern Province, before being appointed as the Government Agent of Batticaloa District.
