கொழும்பு – பதுளைக்கு புதிய ரயில் சேவை ஆரம்பம்

கொழும்பு கோட்டையில் இருந்து பதுளைக்கு புதிய ஆடம்பர ரயில் சேவை ஆரம்பமாகவுள்ளதென ரயில்வே திணைக்களம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

இந்த ரயில் எதிர்வரும் 16ஆம் திகதியிலிருந்து ஒவ்வொரு சனிக்கிழமையும் காலை 5:30 மணிக்கு கொழும்பு கோட்டையில் இருந்து புறப்பட்டு, மாலை 3:55 மணிக்கு பதுளையை அடையும். மறு பயணமாக, ஒவ்வொரு ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமையும் மதியம் 1:45 மணிக்கு பதுளையில் இருந்து புறப்பட்டு, அதே நாள் இரவு 7:20 மணிக்கு கொழும்பு கோட்டையை வந்தடையும்.

350 இருக்கைகள் கொண்ட இந்த ரயில், இலங்கையின் மலைநாட்டு பகுதியின் அழகிய பயண அனுபவத்தை வழங்குவதற்காகவும், உள்ளூர் மற்றும் வெளிநாட்டு சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளின் தேவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்யவும் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த சேவை சுற்றுலாவை ஊக்குவிக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

New Train Service from Colombo to Badulla Launched

The railway department has announced the commencement of a new luxury train service from Colombo Fort to Badulla.

Starting from the 16th of this month, the train will depart from Colombo Fort every Saturday at 5:30 AM and reach Badulla at 3:55 PM. For the return journey, it will leave Badulla every Sunday at 1:45 PM and arrive back at Colombo Fort the same night at 7:20 PM.

With 350 seats, this train has been introduced to offer a beautiful travel experience through Sri Lanka’s hill country region and to meet the needs of both local and international tourists. This service is expected to boost tourism.
