Price Reduction of Essential Food Items
The government has decided to reduce the prices of several essential food items sold through Sathosa outlets in view of the upcoming festive season.
Speaking at a media briefing held in Colombo today, Trade Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe announced details regarding this price reduction.
Accordingly, the price reduction has been applied to essential items such as white raw rice, white rice, wheat flour, lentils, dried sprats, and big onions, he further stated.
