Railway Traffic Suspended Between Mahawa and Anuradhapura

Railway traffic between Mahawa and Anuradhapura has been temporarily suspended due to ongoing repair and renovation work at several locations along the Northern Railway Line.

During this period, train services will continue to operate from Colombo to Mahawa, and separately from Anuradhapura to Jaffna and Kankesanthurai, according to official announcements.

Meanwhile, several train services that were previously suspended due to adverse weather conditions are scheduled to resume operations from today.

Accordingly, the night mail train service from Colombo to Trincomalee will resume operations starting today.

In addition, the Pulathisi Intercity Express train service operating from Colombo to Batticaloa is also scheduled to recommence its daily service from today.
