Sri Pada Pilgrimage Begins Tomorrow

The pilgrimage to Sri Pada (Sivanolipatha Malai) is set to begin tomorrow (04).

It has been announced that the traditional rituals performed in previous years to commence the pilgrimage will also be carried out this time.

The Chief Monk in charge of the event stated that all rituals will be conducted as usual, praying for the nation to recover quickly from the difficult situation caused by recent natural disasters.

Although various false information had been circulating on social media, the monk clarified that no damage has occurred to Sri Pada due to the recent natural calamities.
