Sivananda National School alumnus, former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Eastern University and Professor of General Medicine, Thetchinamoorthy Sundaresan, took oath as the Principal of the Trincomalee Campus of the Eastern University.

Professor Sundaresan, who has been involved in various educational activities both nationally and internationally in the field of higher education, is an excellent humanitarian and is working through several social and spiritual organizations.

In this regard, his role in the work of Sanjeevi Hospital, which provides free cardiac treatment to thousands of people in the Batticaloa district, is noteworthy.
