மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்டத்தில் கல்வி மற்றும் தொழில்கல்வி போன்ற விடயங்களில் மாணவர்களை வலுவூட்டி அவர்களுக்கான எதிர்கால தொழில் பாதையை அமைத்துக் கொடுக்கும் சேவையினை ஆற்றி வரும் விவேகானந்த சமுதாய அறக்கட்டளையின் முக்கிய செயற்பாடாக வறுமை கல்விக்கு தடையாகிவிடக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக மாணவர்களை பொறுப்பெடுக்கும் திட்டம் என்ற வகையில் புலம்பெயர் உறவுகளின் உதவியுடன் மாணவர்களை பொறுப்பெடுத்து க.பொ.த உயர்தரம் கற்கும் வரை அவர்களிற்கான மாதாந்த நிதியுதவியினை வழங்கி வருகின்றது.
இந்த உதவி திட்டத்தின் கீழ் உயர்தரம் சித்தியடைந்து பல்கலைக்கழக வாய்ப்பினை பெறவிருக்கும் மாணவர்களையும் விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரியில் பயிற்சிக்கு இணைந்து கொண்ட மாணவர்களில் பல்கலைக்கழக வாய்ப்பு பெற்றுக் கொண்டவர்களையும் ஒருங்கிணைத்து அவர்களுக்கான பாராட்டு நிகழ்வினை நடாத்தியிருந்தது.
இந்நிகழ்வானது மட்டக்களப்பு புதுகுடியிருப்பு விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரியில் அதன் நிறைவேற்றுப் பணிப்பாளர் திரு.க.பிரதீஸ்வரன் தலைமையில் 2025.05.18 ஆம் திகதி நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வில் பட்டிருப்பு வலயக்கல்விப் பணிப்பாளர் திரு.எஸ்.ஸ்ரீதரன் அவர்களும், இலண்டன் கனகதுர்க்கை அம்மன் ஆலயம் சார்பாக Labour Councilor for Wembley Central திரு.ராஜன் சீலன் அவரது பாரியர் மற்றும் மகள் ஆகியோருடன் சமூக நலன்புரி அமைப்பின் தலைவர் திருமதி.தயனி கிருஸ்ணாகரன் மற்றும் அமிர்தா நிறுவன நிறைவேற்று அதிகாரி திரு.த.புவிகரன் அத்தோடு விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரியின் அதிபர் திரு.த.சந்திரசேகரம் மற்றும் விவேகானந்த சமுதாய அறக்கட்டளை, விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரி சேவையாளர்கள்,பயிலுனர்கள் மற்றும் நலன்விரும்பிகள் இந்நிகழ்வில் கலந்து சிறப்பித்தனர்.
பல்கலைக்கழக வாய்ப்பை பெறும் மாணவர்களுக்கு லண்டன் ஸ்ரீ கனகதுர்க்கை அம்மன் ஆலயம் புலமைப்பரிசில் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் மாதாந்தம் 5000 வழங்கி வருகின்றது. அந்த வகையில் இந்த மாணவர்களிற்கும் அந்த வாய்ப்பினை இலண்டன் கனகதுர்க்கை அம்மன் ஆலய நிர்வாகம் முன்வந்துள்ளமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
அத்தோடு இந்நிகழ்வில் பாராட்டை பெறும் 30 மாணவர்களுக்கு 15000 ரூபாய் பணப்பரிசு மற்றும் நிகழ்வுக்கான நிதியுதவியினை லண்டன் ஸ்ரீ கனகதுர்க்கை அம்மன் ஆலய அறங்காவலர் சபைமுன்னாள் தலைவரும் ஆலய ஸ்தாபக அறங்காவலருமான வைத்திய கலாநிதி வே.பரமநாதன் அவர்கள் தனது தனிப்பட்ட நிதியிலிருந்து வழங்கியிருந்தமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
இந்நிகழ்வில் கலந்து கொண்ட வலயக்கல்விப் பணிப்பாளர் பல்கலைக்கழக வாய்ப்பை பெற்றுச்செல்லும் மாணவர்களை தவிர ஏனைய மாணவர்களில் க.பொ.த உயரம் சித்தியடைந்து க.பொ.த சாதாரண தரத்தில் ஆங்கிலம் சித்தியடையாத மாணவர்கள் சிறந்த வெளிவாரி பட்டப்படிப்பு மற்றும் உயர் டிப்ளோமா பயிற்சிகளில் இணைந்து கொள்ள முடியாத நிலையில் உள்ளனர். எனவே இவ்வாறு தவறுகின்ற மாணவர்கள் க.பொ.த சாதாரண தரத்தில் ஆங்கிலத்தில் சித்தியடையச் செய்து அவர்களிற்கான வாய்ப்புக்களை உருவாக்குவுதற்காக விடேச 6 மாதகால ஆங்கில பயிற்சியினை வடிவமைத்திருப்பதாகவும், அதனையும் முறைசாரா தொழிற்கல்வி முறையையும் விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரியுடன் இணைந்து செயல்பட முடியும் என்றும் தெரிவித்தார்.
அதேபோல் நிகழ்வில் கலந்து கொண்ட திரு ராஜன் சீலன் அவர்கள் தான் வந்தாறுமுலை மகாவித்தியாலயத்தின் பழைய மாணவர் என்றும் மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்டத்தில் கல்வி சம்பந்தமான செயற்பாடுகளுக்கு தான் நிதி உதவியை ஆலயத்தின் ஊடாகவும் ஏனைய அமைப்புகளுடாகவும் வழங்கவிருப்பதாக தெரிவித்திருந்தார்.
13 வருடங்களாக இந்த இளைஞர்களை வலுப்படுத்தி பல்வேறு விதமான செயற்பாடுகளுடன் கிராமங்கள் தோறும் அடிப்படை கணினி மற்றும் வாழ்வியல் பயிற்சிகள் தொழில்நுட்ப தொழில் பயிற்சி நிலையங்கள் அதைத் தாண்டி தொழில் வழங்குனர்களுடன் இணைந்து அவர்களிற்கான சேவைகளை வழங்குவதுடன் நிறுவனங்களின் தொடர்ச்சியான செயற்பாடுகளிற்கு வருமானத்தை ஈட்டிக் கொள்ளும் நோக்கிலும், அமிர்தா சமூக நிறுவனத்தை உருவாக்கி நீண்ட கால தூரநோக்கு சிந்தனையுடன் ஒரு முழுமையான சமூகப் பொருளாதார மாற்றத்தை எற்படுத்த விவேகானந்த சமுதாய அறக்கட்டளை, கல்லூரி, அமிர்தா நிறுவனம் செயற்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருப்பதை யாரும் மறுத்து விட முடியாது.

Opportunities for Education: Vivekananda Foundation’s Felicitation Ceremony and Financial Assistance Program
As a key initiative of the Vivekananda Community Foundation, which serves to strengthen students in the fields of education and vocational training in the Batticaloa District, a program has been established to ensure poverty does not become a barrier to education. Through the support of expatriate donors, students are sponsored and provided with monthly financial assistance until they complete their G.C.E. Advanced Level studies.
Under this support scheme, a felicitation ceremony was held for students who have successfully completed their A/L exams and gained university admission, as well as for students enrolled in Vivekananda Technical College who have now secured university placements.
This event took place at the Vivekananda Technical College, Puthukudiyiruppu, Batticaloa, on May 18, 2025, under the leadership of the college’s Executive Director Mr. K. Pratheeswaran. The ceremony was graced by Mr. S. Sritharan, Zonal Director of Education for Pattiruppu, Mr. Rajan Seelan, Labour Councillor for Wembley Central, representing London Sri Kanagathurkai Amman Temple, along with his wife and daughter, and Mrs. Thayeni Krishnakaran, Chairperson of a social welfare organization. Also in attendance were Mr. T. Buvikaran, Executive Officer of Amirtha Organization, Mr. T. Chandrasekaram, Principal of Vivekananda Technical College, and several staff, trainees, and well-wishers from both the foundation and the college.
Students who secured university admission are to receive a monthly grant of LKR 5,000 under the Merit Scholarship Scheme initiated by the London Sri Kanagathurkai Amman Temple. Notably, this support has also been extended to the newly recognized students.
Furthermore, as part of the ceremony, 30 students received cash awards of LKR 15,000 each, a generous contribution from Dr. V. Paramanathan, former chairman of the temple’s Board of Trustees and founding trustee of the temple, funded from his personal finances.
Addressing the gathering, the Zonal Director of Education highlighted that students who have passed the A/L exams but failed to pass English in their O/L exams are unable to pursue external degree programs and higher diploma courses. In response, a six-month English training course has been developed abroad, and discussions are underway to implement this program alongside non-formal vocational training with Vivekananda Technical College.
Mr. Rajan Seelan, a past pupil of Vandarumulai Maha Vidyalayam, expressed his commitment to supporting educational initiatives in Batticaloa through the temple and other organizations.
For the past 13 years, the foundation has worked to empower youth through a range of initiatives such as basic computer literacy, life skills training, technical and vocational education, and collaboration with employers to ensure service delivery and sustainability. With long-term vision, the Vivekananda Community Foundation, the college, and Amirtha Organization are striving to bring about a holistic socio-economic transformation that cannot be overlooked.
