A New Low-Pressure System?

The low-pressure area that was recently observed near the country is now moving away, and therefore its impact on Sri Lanka’s weather will gradually diminish, according to the Department of Meteorology.

However, the department has stated that there is a possibility of a new low-pressure system forming in the southeastern Bay of Bengal around November 22.

This low-pressure system is expected to intensify further and move close to the northern sea region of Sri Lanka, according to forecasts.

In this situation, the Department of Meteorology has advised the public to remain vigilant.
