Landslide Warning Issued for 13 Districts in the Country பதுளை, கொழும்பு, கம்பஹா, களுத்துறை, காலி, மாத்தறை, கண்டி, மாத்தளை, நுவரெலியா, குருநாகல், கேகாலை, மொனராகலை மற்றும் இரத்தினபுரி ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களுக்கு விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள மண்சரிவு அபாய எச்சரிக்கை, 24 மணித்தியாலங்களுக்கு நீடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
தேசிய கட்டிட ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவகம் வெளியிட்டுள்ள பிந்திய அறிக்கையிலேயே மண்சரிவு தொடர்பாக இந்த எச்சரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
அந்த அறிக்கையின் பிரகாரம், கண்டி, குருநாகல், கேகாலை மற்றும் மாத்தளை, மாவட்டங்களுக்கு மூன்றாம் நிலை சிவப்பு எச்சரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
அத்துடன், பதுளை, நுவரெலிய மற்றும் இரத்தினபுரி மாவட்டங்களுக்கு இரண்டாம் நிலை செம்மஞ்சள் எச்சரிக்கையும், கொழும்பு, காலி, கம்பஹா, களுத்துறை, மாத்தறை மற்றும் மொனராகலை ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களுக்கு முதலாம் நிலை எச்சரிக்கையும் விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Landslide Warning Issued for 13 Districts in the Country
A landslide risk warning has been issued for 13 districts in the country.
Accordingly, the warning—extended for 24 more hours—has been issued for the districts of Badulla, Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Kandy, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Kurunegala, Kegalle, Monaragala, and Ratnapura.
This warning was issued in the latest report released by the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) regarding landslide risks.
According to the report, Level 3 Red Alerts have been issued for the districts of Kandy, Kurunegala, Kegalle, and Matale.
Additionally, Level 2 Amber Alerts have been issued for the districts of Badulla, Nuwara Eliya, and Ratnapura, while Level 1 Yellow Alerts have been issued for Colombo, Galle, Gampaha, Kalutara, Matara, and Monaragala.
Meanwhile, rainfall is expected in several parts of the country today as well. The Department of Meteorology forecasts rainfall in certain areas of the Northern, North Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces, and also in the Matale district.
It has also been predicted that fairly heavy rainfall of around 75 mm may occur in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.
