அகில இலங்கை பேக்கரி உரிமையாளர்கள் சங்கத்தின் தலைவர் என்.கே. ஜயவர்தன இதனைத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். முட்டைகளின் விலை ஏற்கனவே அதிகரித்துள்ளதாகவும் அவர் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
மேலும், இது பண்டிகைக் காலத்தில் கேக்குகளின் உற்பத்தியை பாதிக்கக்கூடும் என இன்று நடைபெற்ற செய்தியாளர் சந்திப்பின் போது கூறியுள்ளார்.
