Rain in Many Parts of the Country நாட்டின் பல பகுதிகளில் இன்று மழை அல்லது இடியுடன் கூடிய மழை பெய்யக்கூடும் என வளிமண்டலவியல் திணைக்களம் எதிர்வு கூறியுள்ளது.

வளிமண்டலவியல் திணைக்களம் விடுத்துள்ள அறிக்கையில் இந்த விடயம் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இதன்படி வடக்கு, வடமத்திய, ஊவா, கிழக்கு மற்றும் மத்திய மாகாணங்களிலும் ஹம்பாந்தோட்டை மாவட்டத்திலும் அவ்வப்போது மழை அல்லது இடியுடன் கூடிய மழை பெய்யக்கூடும்.

அத்துடன் வடமேல், மேல் மற்றும் சபரகமுவ மாகாணங்களின் சில இடங்களில் சுமார் 75 மில்லிமீற்றர் வரையில் ஓரளவு பலத்த மழை வீழ்ச்சி பதிவாகக்கூடும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகின்றது.

மேலும் கிழக்கு மற்றும் ஊவா மாகாணங்களின் சில இடங்களில் 50 மில்லிமீற்றருக்கும் அதிகளவான மழை வீழ்ச்சி பதிவாகக்கூடும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

நாட்டின் ஏனைய பகுதிகளில் பிற்பகல் 1:00 மணிக்கு பின்னர் மழை அல்லது இடியுடன் கூடிய மழை பெய்யக்கூடும் என வளிமண்டலவியல் திணைக்களம் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது.

இடியுடன் கூடிய மழை பெய்யும் நேரங்களில் தற்காலிகமாக வீசக்கூடிய பலத்த காற்று மற்றும் மின்னல் தாக்கங்களினால் ஏற்படக்கூடிய பாதிப்புகளைக் குறைத்துக்கொள்ளத் தேவையான முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

Rain in Many Parts of the Country

The Department of Meteorology has forecast that rain or thundershowers may occur in many parts of the country today.

According to a statement issued by the Department of Meteorology, rain or thundershowers are expected at times in the Northern, North Central, Uva, Eastern and Central Provinces, as well as in the Hambantota District.

Meanwhile, fairly heavy rainfall of up to about 75 millimetres may be recorded in some areas of the North Western, Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces.

In addition, more than 50 millimetres of rainfall is expected in some areas of the Eastern and Uva Provinces.

The Meteorological Department also stated that rain or thundershowers may occur in other parts of the country after 1:00 p.m.

The public is advised to take necessary precautionary measures to minimize damage caused by temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
