Life Skill Development Workshop for Trainees மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்டத்தில் இயங்கி வரும் விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரி கடந்த 12 ஆண்டுகளாக அரச அங்கீகாரத்துடனான NVQ சான்றிதழ் பயிற்சிகள் மூலம் இளைஞர்களுக்கு தொழில்திறன்களை வழங்கி வருகின்றது. 2012 ஆம் ஆண்டு சமூக சேவையாளர் திரு. க. சத்குணேஸ்வரன் அவர்களால் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட இக்கல்லூரியானது, மூன்றாம் நிலை மற்றும் தொழில் பயிற்சி ஆணையம் (TVEC) இன் கீழ் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட ஒரு அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட தொழில்நுட்ப மற்றும் தொழில்முறை பயிற்சி நிறுவனமாகும்.
பின்தங்கிய மற்றும் வளம் குறைந்த சமூகங்களைச் சேர்ந்த இளைஞர்களை மையமாகக் கொண்டு, தொழில்முறை அறிவு, நடைமுறை அனுபவம் மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்பு திறன்களை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்குடன் பல்வேறு NVQ பயிற்சி நெறிகள், திறன் மேம்பாட்டு பாடநெறிகள், மொழிப் பயிற்சிகள், மற்றும் தொழில் வழிகாட்டல் செயற்பாடுகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
மேலும், தொழில்திறன் பயிற்சிகளுடன் இணைந்து வாழ்க்கைத்திறன் பயிற்சிகள் மற்றும் ஆலோசனை வழிகாட்டல்கள் வழங்குவதன் மூலம், இளைஞர்கள் தங்களின் எதிர்காலத்தை உறுதியான பாதையில் அமைத்துக்கொள்ளவும், தன்னம்பிக்கையுடன் சமூகத்தில் சாதனையாளர்களாக உருவெடுக்கவும் விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரி தொடர்ச்சியான சேவையினை வழங்கி வருகின்றது.
மேலும் விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரியில் பயிற்சி பெறும் மாணவர்களுக்கு பல்வேறு விழிப்புணர்வூட்டும் மற்றும் தொழில் வழிகாட்டல் செயற்பாடுகளும் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
அந்த வகையில் 30.01.2025 அன்று விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரியில் ICT Technician NVQ Level 3 பயிலுநர்களுக்கு தன்னைப் பற்றி முதலில் தானே அறிந்து கொள்வதன் மூலம், அடுத்த கட்டமாக சமூகத்தினுள் நுழையும் போது தன்னம்பிக்கை மற்றும் சவால்களை எதிர்கொள்ளக்கூடிய வகையில் அவர்களை உருவாக்கும் நோக்குடன் life skill development நடைபெற்றது.
விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரியின் தொழிற்பயிற்சி முகாமையாளர் திரு. சார்ல்ஸ் கிரேசியன் அவர்களால் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட life skill development செயல்பாட்டில் ICT Technician NVQ Level 3 பயிற்சி நெறியை பயின்றுகொண்டிருக்கும் இரண்டு தொகுதிகளைச் சேர்ந்த 38 பயிலுநர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.

Life Skill Development Workshop for Trainees
The Vivekananda College of Technology, operating in the Batticaloa District, has been providing youth with vocational skills through government-recognized NVQ certificate training programmes for the past 12 years. Established in 2012 by social worker Mr. K. Sathkuneshwaran, the college is a recognized technical and vocational training institute registered under the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
With a focus on youth from underprivileged and resource-limited communities, the institution conducts various NVQ training programmes, skill development courses, language training programmes, and career guidance activities aimed at enhancing professional knowledge, practical experience, and employability skills.
In addition to technical training, the Vivekananda College of Technology continues to provide life skills training and counselling guidance to help young people build a secure future path and emerge as confident achievers in society. Various awareness and career guidance programmes are also regularly conducted for students undergoing training at the college.
Accordingly, on 30.01.2025, a life skill development programme was conducted at the Vivekananda College of Technology for ICT Technician NVQ Level 3 trainees. The programme aimed to help trainees first understand themselves and, as a next step, prepare them to enter society with self-confidence and the ability to face challenges.
The life skill development programme was conducted by the Industrial Training Manager of the Vivekananda College of Technology, Mr. Charles Gracian. A total of 38 trainees from two batches currently following the ICT Technician NVQ Level 3 training programme participated in the session.
