இன்று (05) காலை வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ள வானிலை முன்னறிவிப்பின்படி, வடக்கு, வட மத்திய, கிழக்கு, ஊவா மற்றும் மத்திய மாகாணங்களிலும் ஹம்பாந்தோட்டை மாவட்டத்திலும் அவ்வப்போது மழை பெய்யக்கூடும் எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
குறிப்பாக, ஊவா மாகாணத்திலும், மட்டக்களப்பு, அம்பாறை, ஹம்பாந்தோட்டை மற்றும் நுவரெலியா மாவட்டங்களிலும் சில இடங்களில் 75 மில்லிமீட்டருக்கும் (75 mm) அதிகளவான ஓரளவு பலத்த மழை பெய்யக்கூடும் என எச்சரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

The Department of Meteorology has stated in its weather forecast that rainy conditions may continue across many parts of the country today as well.
According to the weather forecast issued this morning (05), intermittent showers may occur in the Northern, North Central, Eastern, Uva, and Central Provinces, as well as in the Hambantota District.
In particular, fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 millimeters (75 mm) may occur at some locations in the Uva Province and in the Batticaloa, Ampara, Hambantota, and Nuwara Eliya Districts, a warning has been issued.
In other parts of the country, there is a possibility of showers or thundershowers after 2.00 p.m.
Rainfall exceeding 50 millimeters may occur in some areas.
Meanwhile, strong winds with speeds of 30–40 kilometers per hour may occur at times in the Northern and North Western Provinces, as well as in the Matale, Trincomalee, and Anuradhapura Districts.
In addition, dense misty conditions are expected during the morning hours in the Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces, and in the Galle, Matara, and Badulla Districts.
