2026 ஆம் ஆண்டின் முதலாவது பகுதி அளவு சூரிய கிரகணம் எதிர்வரும் 17 ஆம் திகதி நிகழவுள்ளதாக வானியல் ஆய்வாளர்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
இந்த அபூர்வ நிகழ்வானது அன்றைய தினம் பிற்பகல் 3.26 மணிக்கு ஆரம்பமாகி, இரவு 7.57 மணி வரை நீடிக்கும் என கணிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. சுமார் நான்கு மணித்தியாலங்களுக்கு மேலாக இந்த வானியல் நிகழ்வு நீடிக்கவுள்ளது.
சந்திரன் சூரியனுக்கும் பூமிக்கும் இடையில் கடந்து செல்லும்போது, சூரியனின் மையப்பகுதியை சந்திரன் மறைப்பதன் காரணமாக, சூரியன் ஒரு ஒளிவட்டம் (Ring of Fire) போன்று காட்சியளிக்கும்.

Astronomers have announced that the first partial solar eclipse of the year 2026 will take place on the 17th of the month.
This rare celestial event is expected to begin at 3:26 PM and continue until 7:57 PM on the same day. The phenomenon will last for more than four hours.
When the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth and covers the central part of the Sun, the Sun will appear like a glowing ring, often referred to as a “Ring of Fire.”
As this is a partial solar eclipse, the outer edges of the Sun will remain visible as a bright ring.
