இலங்கையில் எதிர்வரும் ஏப்ரல் மாதம் இறுதி வரை எரிபொருள் தட்டுப்பாடு ஏற்படுவதற்கு வாய்ப்பில்லை என இலங்கை பெற்றோலிய கூட்டுத்தாபனம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
மத்திய கிழக்கு பிராந்தியத்தில் நிலவும் பதற்றமான சூழல், இலங்கையின் எரிபொருள் இறக்குமதியில் எவ்வித பாதிப்பையும் ஏற்படுத்தவில்லை என கூட்டுத்தாபனத்தின் தலைவர் டி.ஏ. ராஜகருண தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இதேவேளை 90,000 மெற்றிக் தொன் மசகு எண்ணெயை ஏற்றிய கப்பல் ஒன்று, எதிர்வரும் மார்ச் 11ஆம் திகதி நாட்டை வந்தடையவுள்ளது என அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
ஐக்கிய அரபு இராச்சியத்தின் புஜைரா துறைமுகத்திலிருந்து நேற்று (4) இரவு புறப்பட்ட இந்தக் கப்பல், தற்போது இலங்கையை நோக்கிப் பயணித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றது.
மத்திய கிழக்கில் சவால்கள் நிலவினாலும், இலங்கைக்கு மசகு எண்ணெயைத் தடையின்றி கொண்டு வருவதற்குத் தேவையான அனைத்து ஏற்பாடுகளும் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
எதிர்வரும் காலங்களில் எவ்வித இடையூறுமின்றி எரிபொருளை விநியோகிப்பதற்கான முழுமையான கொள்ளளவு மற்றும் வசதிகள் கூட்டுத்தாபனத்திடம் உள்ளதாக தலைவர் மேலும் உறுதியளித்துள்ளார்.

Fuel Supply Assured Without Shortage Until End of April
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has announced that there is no possibility of a fuel shortage in Sri Lanka until the end of April.
According to the Chairman of the Corporation, T. A. Rajakaruna, the current tense situation in the Middle East region has not had any impact on Sri Lanka’s fuel imports.
Meanwhile, a vessel carrying 90,000 metric tons of fuel oil is scheduled to arrive in the country on March 11. The ship departed last night (4) from the Port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates and is currently en route to Sri Lanka.
Despite the challenges prevailing in the Middle East, all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the uninterrupted import of fuel oil to Sri Lanka.
The Chairman further assured that the Corporation possesses the full capacity and facilities required to distribute fuel without any disruption in the coming period.
