இன்றைய காலகட்டத்தின் 21 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் எடுத்தியம்ப முடியாத தொழில்நுட்ப வளர்ச்சியில் சுழன்று கொண்டிருக்கும் புவிதனில் இயற்கை அன்னை தன் சீற்றம் தணிந்து இன்றளவும் நம்மை காத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றாள். அதன் பிரகாரம் உலக சுற்றாடல் தினத்தினை முன்னிட்டு “Eco Collect” எனும் தொனிப்பொருளில் சூழல் நேயம் மிக்க உற்பத்தி பொருட்களின் (recycling) பாவனையை மையப்படுத்திய நிகழ்வானது விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரியின் நிறைவேற்றுப் பணிப்பாளர் திரு.பிரதீஸ்வரன் அவர்களின் தலைமையில் கல்லூரியில் இடம்பெற்றது.
அதனடிப்படையில் சூழல் நேயம் மிக்க உற்பத்தி பொருட்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்தல் எனும் செயற்பாடாக பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட பதாதைகள் மற்றும் Milo covers ஐ மீள்பாவனைக்குட்படுத்துதல் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு கல்லூரியின் பயிற்சி உத்தியோகத்தரால் சிறப்பாக எடுத்துரைக்கப்பட்டதோடு பொலித்தீன் மற்றும் பதாதைகளை மீள் சுழற்சி செய்வதன் முக்கியத்துவம், அதனால் ஏற்படும் நன்மைகள், மீள் சுழற்சியினால் மீதப்படவிருக்கும் மண் மீதான நேயம் என அத்தனை விடயங்களும் சிறப்பாக எடுத்துரைக்கப்பட்டமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்க விடயமாகும்.
இந்நிகழ்வில் திரு.ராஜ்குமார் சொலமன் Deputy Center Coordinator Ygro(PVT Ltd), திரு.யோகேஸ்வரன்( Former Regional Leader WUSC), சமூக நலன்புரி அமைப்பு, விவேகானந்த தொழில்நுட்பவியல் கல்லூரி, விவேகானந்த சமுதாய அறக்கட்டளை, அமிர்தா உள்ளிட்ட விவேகானந்த குடும்பத்தின் சேவையாளர்களும் கலந்து கொண்டதோடு கல்லூரியின் பயிலுனர்களும் கலந்து கொண்டமை சிறப்பானதாகும்.
பதாகைகள் மற்றும் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட Milo உறைகள் மூலம் உற்பத்தி செய்யப்பட்ட பைகளும் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டதுடன் 100 வருடங்கள் கடந்தாலும் பொலித்தீன் உறைகள் உக்காமல் சூழலுக்கு தீமை பயப்பதாக இருக்கும் என்பதை எடுத்துரைக்கும் வகையிலான செயற்பாடும் காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
இவ்வாறான செயற்பாடுகளை முன்னெடுப்பதன் முலம் பொலித்தீன் மற்றும் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட பதாதைகளை மீள்பாவனைக்குட்படுத்துவது மட்டுமன்றி சூழலுக்கு தீங்கு சேர்ப்பதை மட்டுப்படுத்த முடியும். ஆகையால், பொலித்தீன் மற்றும் பதாதைகளின் பாவனையை முற்றாக குறைக்க முடியாவிட்டாலும் கூட முடிந்தளவு பங்களிப்பினை வழங்குவதன் மூலம் முறையான சமுதாயத்தை உருவாக்க முடியும் என்பதில் ஐயமில்லை.

Let’s reverse pollution through recycling
In today’s era, amidst the unstoppable technological recycling advancements of the 21st century that continue to shape our planet, Mother Nature still protects us with her calmness, despite the harm we’ve caused. In accordance with this, on the occasion of World Environment Day, an event themed “Eco Collect”, focusing on the use of eco-friendly products, was held at Vivekananda College of Technology under the leadership of the institution’s Executive Director, Mr. Pratheeswaran.
As part of the initiative to promote eco-friendly products, an awareness session was conducted by the college’s training officer on reusing banners and Milo covers. The significance of recycling polythene and banners, the benefits it brings, and the love for soil that can be revived through recycling were clearly explained and emphasized.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Rajkumar Solomon, Deputy Center Coordinator of Ygro (PVT Ltd), Mr. Yogeswaran, Former Regional Leader of WUSC, members of social welfare organizations, Vivekananda College of Technology, Vivekananda Community Trust, and Amirtha, along with other volunteers of the Vivekananda family. The students of the college also actively participated.
Bags made from recycled banners and used Milo wrappers were introduced during the event. A presentation was also made to illustrate how polythene covers remain in the environment for over 100 years without decomposing, causing harm to nature.
By conducting such activities, not only can we recycle used banners and polythene materials, but we can also reduce environmental damage. Even if it is not possible to completely eliminate the use of polythene and banners, contributing as much as possible will certainly help build a responsible society.
